Civil society strengthening
Civil society makes the governance structure of communities and nations and form the backbone of locality development. DGI supports the civil society from a diverse range of sectors through organizational development, strategy formulation and evaluation, alliance/network building and programming support.
The rationale behind DGI’s support of the civil society is that such groups make up the space of public policy, keep governments accountable, promote peace, enhance natural resources governance and defend human rights and well-being of citizens hence making a critical player in society.
